4th – Syranna‘s Teleportation Couplet (conjuration) (ritual)
|Casting Time:||1 action|
|Components:||V, M (rare wax infused with precious gems worth 50 gp, which the spell consumes)|
|Spell Lists:||Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard|
As you cast the spell, you draw a 10-foot-diameter circle on the ground inscribed with sigils. If you have drawn at least two such circles on the same plane of existence as you, each no more than a mile from the other, the two most recently-drawn are then linked. Upon the utterance of a passphrase that you select when casting the latest circle, all willing creatures touching a portion of a linked circled instantly appear within 5 feet of the destination circle, or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied.
The circles do not emit any magical aura, save for when they are activated. Additionally, as long as a circle has not been dispelled or physically defaced, and as long as it is still linked with a paired circle, it may still be used. However, only the two most-recently-created circles drawn by the same caster on the same plane are ever linked.
Syranna’s Teleportation Couplet is indispensable to non-spellcasters who desire a quick magical entry or exit. Such circles are often arranged behind tapestries by rich nobles who want a quick escape route, prepared in advance by thieves and assassins in strategic locations, or even set as fallback options by overwhelmed dungeoneers. However, such circles must be hidden carefully, as they can be easily destroyed.
